Following Protocol is Key to Success of HCG Diet Plans
While following a HCG diet plan the key to success would be following the protocol in the right manner. According to experts if some user tries to follow some of the parts of the protocol according to her choice and shelves the rest, the chances of success will be minimized substantially.
Why Follow Protocol?
For any user to get the best benefits of any plan, and that includes the HCG diet plan, it is necessary to realize the value of protocol.
- In his book “Pounds and Inches – A New Approach to Obesity” Dr Semions has excellently dealt with the subject of protocol and having a fine start; and
- In addition; diet tips, guides, menus, support groups, expert opinions, and online review; all indicate the value of discipline and dedication to the end users.
Divergent Opinion Among Experts
While experts are at one regarding the loyalty to protocol as a key factor for success with HCG diet plan, they are not unanimous on the ingredients to be used. For instance; some experts opine that the effectiveness of HCG diet increases manifold when it is consumed in combination with African mango. To drive home their point, they have come up with interesting statistics that –
- Users taking African mango with HCG diet scored 82% success rate;
- Users that followed the protocol recommended by Dr. Simeons had 63% success rate; and
- Others like placebo had as low as 12% success rate.
Uniform Pattern Followed
For all the three types noted above, uniform patterns of diet and calorie values were followed. Members of each group were given 500 calorie diet but the success rate widely varied as indicated by the results of the tests undertaken. Some of the facts that were revealed through the study were as follows.
-
Difference in the ability of the members in the three groups in controlling their hunger varied widely;
-
Most members in the group 3 were not able to contain their hunger with the 500 calorie diet a day; and
-
Those using African mango as part of the diet were most successful in containing their hunger and food craving.
Low Calorie Contents
Essential part of the HCG diet plan is low calorie diet. Limiting the daily calorie consumption is the key to fat burning and weight loss. Usually the dieters are asked to limit their calorie consumption to 500 calories at the most against the normal requirements of around 1800-2000 calories for women and 200-2500 calories for men. At the same time the 500 calorie diet is also enough to satiate the daily appetite of the consumer.
Effects of Low Calorie HCG Diet
Using the low calorie HCG diet plan, the user is able to –
-
Lose excess fats that might have accumulated in her body;
-
Shed weight thereby considerably and bringing up the body to trimmed form;
-
Once the fat is burned and weight is lost, the diet plan should be discontinued as its aim is to burn out excess fat in the body; and
-
Dieter’s appetite level returns back to normal which means he or she would start consuming more than 500 calories somewhere near to their regular diets all over again.
Original Protocol
Original protocol for the HCG diet plan was formulated by DrSimeons and it has now taken the form of very low calorie diet. He included the protocol in his “Pounds and Inches – A New Approach to Obesity”. This original protocol includes in it a diet plan right from the breakfast through the dinner for a woman. Some features of this original protocol are –

-
